This little steer is the newest member of the Turley crew. Dan picked him up at the stock auction in Holbrook a couple weeks ago. He has become the new "roping dummy." Quint is really wanting to learn to rope, so Dad got him this cute little guy to learn on.
It's really fun to watch them chase JayZee around the pen on foot. Dan told Q he has to learn to rope on the ground before he can rope on a horse. I think we'll be watching him chase this guy around for a while yet! And that's fine by me, it's pretty entertaining watching the "Dan Turley School of Roping Instruction" take place. 
Our neighbor buddy Jacob likes to get in on the action too. Maybe one day these two will be team roping partners!
We're happy to have this little eating machine in our back yard. He always lets us know when he's hungry by "crying." I'm sure our neighbors love him too, 'cause he starts this around 6am every morning. I think he just wants to make sure we don't forget about him. I'm already attached and always have to remind the boys to go feed the "baby." He's such a cute little guy! We luv ya, JayZee!

Actually we haven't hear a peep! I always forget you have him until Jacob Begs to go and rope JayZee. Thanks for snapping thos pics. Those boys are too cute! Thanks to Dan for taking the time to help Jacob. He loves going over to rope.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought you were refering to the "little eating machine" ,meaning Jacob. He has been known to cry when he gets hungry too.
