Mo' Suga

This Christmas season we had a lot of fun trying out some new recipes and doing little projects. We made some glass candy last week, it was green and lemon flavored and so easy but fun. We gave out a few plates to friends and family. The best part of making the treats is giving them away. :)

Then I tried a cream puff Christmas tree. I found the recipe in one of my mom's magazines and it looked pretty easy so I went for it. It was more time consuming than anything. I was a little disappointed in the final product. First of all, it was supposed to be a white tree, but I thought I had grabbed two bags of white chips at Wal-Mart and got home to find I had grabbed one white and one milk chocolate, so I had to mix them and of course, the chocolate was brown. Second I didn't get the fancy candy I wanted to decorate with because Wal-Mart was out of EVERYTHING. I couldn't believe how bare the shelves were the night we went shopping (the 23rd). They didn't even have any green onion or marshmallow cream! So I had to settle for gumdrop candies. Third, when Payton took a look at my final product, he told me it looked similiar to a pile of poop! Well say! O'well, the good part was that the tree was really tasty and everyone loved it. So there, Payte!

  1. I think you are a great mom. It's the memories, not the poop look that the boys will remember. That is really funny though.
